we arrived in whangerei after saturdays racing and got to see the ramp. it was sickkk. i went for a walk up to the top of the ramp and i was actualy scared standing on the top it haha. went for ride and went down and was pretty chill after that.
got the track dialed in by monday thn kicked it the rest of the week
Friday was mighty 11 trials (sister was trialing) and it was good to see they were all hitting up the big jumps and not being scared. There was practises on too but was just really a roll around and gt one gate anyway with the 700 ppl trying to get onto the gate haha. So my sister got the scholarship for the girls to go to aussie in May
Saturday for once i wasnt nervous at all. first up was am session which was cruisers. first race i think i over jumped every jump on the track because im way to loose on cruiser lol. was good first day for cruiser overall.
in 20inch the wind picked up alot which sucked because no hucking staircase on first straight. haha. did alright in 20 but just did what i needed toget to the final
sunday was just 2 rounds thn got to watch all the quarters and semis . it sucked koz we had straight final and i found quarters and semis alot more fun.so FINALS. first one was cruiser final. i was pumped for it i came out first with trent but he got the pull on me with his massive size compared to me lol. ended up second to trent woodcock thn kane
20 ich was next i was even more amped forthat. i had been getting gate so good from lane one all weekend so ichose that lane. but when i got to snap my wheel sliped. i was absoloutley pissed, i hadnt stuffed up a gate all weekend. luckily tho i had lane one which helped me get 3rd place coming out of the 1st corner from last. was a line of us when i caught up on 3rd straight but hit it faster than usual and over jumped the double which totaly took me out of rythm and just hanged on to 3rd. i was pretty dissapointed with my final but tomorow was still another day and i will get another go at it.
now im focusing on worlds and going to get some solid training in for adelaide.
